Emphatic Success for Coyle White Devine’s Private Crime Team

15/12/2015 – Success for Coyle White Devine’s Private Crime Team as ex-RBS Trader Cleared of Tax Fraud

Coyle White Devine (“CWD”) have successfully represented Vincent Walsh at his trial in relation to an allegation of ‘Conspiracy to Cheat the Revenue’. Following a trial lasting several weeks, Mr Walsh was unanimously acquitted by the jury at Southwark Crown Court on 10th December 2015. What makes this result all the more remarkable is that CWD were not instructed to replace the original solicitors until three weeks before the start of the trial.

“The work carried out by our team in this case, given that there was such a short period of time in which to get to grips with all of the issues and in excess of twenty thousand pages of evidence, has been remarkable”, said Steve Foster, private crime case manager at CWD. “It shows just what can be achieved by total commitment, teamwork and an unshakable desire to obtain the best results possible for our clients.
