Amelie Bateman

Paralegal

Amelie joined the firm as a Paralegal in April 2025, supporting our team of solicitors and across a broad range of commercial, insolvency and employment disputes. She graduated from the University of Manchester with a First-Class Law degree in 2024.

Amelie plays a key supporting role on shareholder disputes, misfeasance claims under the Insolvency Act 1986 and other cases involving breaches of a director’s statutory duties. She regularly reviews corporate documentation to clarify parties’ rights and obligations within internal business disputes. Additionally, Amelie contributes to employment and data protection matters, particularly on breach of privacy claims under the Human Rights Act.

Amelie is responsible for conducting extensive legal research and has experience in taking proofs of evidence from witnesses, preparing trial bundles, and assisting with electronic disclosure.

Outside of work, Amelie maintains a strong interest in health and fitness. She plays netball competitively and regularly practices Pilates. Having grown up in Spain during her formative years, she is fluent in Spanish and has a passion for travel and exploring different cultures.
